C/O Berlin x MUBI Open-Air Kino

On the occasion of the exhibition The Lure of the Image, MUBI’s curated film series THE LURE OF THE IMAGE: DIGITAL WORLDS comes to an open-air close in the courtyard of Amerika Haus. The evening presents We’re All Going to the World’s Fair (2021) by Jane Schoenbrun, a film about digital self-representation, loneliness, and the uncanny pull of the internet.

Casey, a teenager from a small town, takes part in an online horror role-playing game and begins filming herself. As she becomes increasingly immersed in the digital world, the boundaries between fantasy and reality start to blur.

Before the screening, there will be an introduction with Marie Kloos, Programming Director Europe at MUBI, and Boaz Levin, Curator at C/O Berlin. Afterwards, MUBI Summer Night at C/O Berlin invites visitors to a long summer night with free admission to the exhibitions, drinks, and DJ.
