On the occasion of International Feminist Struggle Day, C/O Berlin invited the Netzwerk gegen Feminizide (Eng. Network Against Feminicide) to take part in the exhibition Graciela Iturbide . Eyes to Fly With with the participatory art intervention Sangre de mi Sangre (Eng. Blood of My Blood).

Initiated in 2019 by the feminist collective Colectiva Hilos in Guadalajara, Mexico, the action raises awareness of femicides and enforced disappearances through collective finger crocheting in public spaces. The resulting red nets symbolically represent the blood shed through patriarchal violence and at the same time express collective resistance, solidarity, and remembrance.

Since 2024, the Network Against Feminicide has been participating in the initiative to draw attention to the almost daily femicides committed in Germany and to connect transnational feminist struggles.

We warmly invite everyone to connect, participate, and join us in taking a stand against gender-based violence.

Netzwerk gegen Feminizide is an alliance of feminist groups and individuals that has been fighting femicidal violence since 2020 through public actions, educational initiatives, and discussion formats. Sangre de mi Sangre takes place regularly.

Colectiva Hilos is a feminist art collective that uses textiles as its primary means of expression. Its members advocate for human rights and an equal society with diverse ways of thinking, loving, and living. HILOS’ artistic actions draw attention to inequality, femicides, and enforced disappearances in order to question and transform these forms of violence and domination. Through their participatory practices, Colectiva Hilos work toward a culture of intercultural dialogue and peace.
