Inspired by Walter Schels’ exhibition at C/O Berlin, this photography workshop explores the differences between humans and animals. What defines you as a human? Which animal do you feel connected to, or which one would you like to be? To find out, we’ll visit the zoo together and take portraits of your favorite animals.
On the second day, we’ll work in C/O Berlin’s photo studio. There, you can pose in front of the camera and maybe even transform into an animal. This will result in your own (self-)portraits that connect to your animal portrait. It’s going to be animal-ly good!
Antonia Richter completed her training as a photo designer at the Lette-Verein in Berlin and has won numerous photography competitions. As a freelance photo designer, she works for renowned national and international companies.
Frauke Menzinger studied literature and fine arts, followed by stage and costume design at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. She works as a freelancer for both theater and film productions. In 2010, she took over as artistic director of C/O Berlin Foundation’s education programs.
