On the occasion of the exhibition The Lure of the Image, C/O Berlin and MUBI bring MUBI’s curated film series THE LURE OF THE IMAGE: DIGITAL WORLDS to the courtyard of Amerika Haus as an open-air cinema program. The series opens with The Piano Accident (2025) by Quentin Dupieux, a darkly comic satire on social media, sensationalism, and digital attention.

Magalie, a social media sensation known for her shocking content, retreats to a remote mountain cabin after an accident during the filming of one of her videos. But her time away is interrupted when a journalist begins to blackmail her.

Following the screening, there will be a Talk with Svea Mausolf aka @sveamaus, artist and author, and Boaz Levin, Curator at C/O Berlin.

Svea Mausolf is an artist and author. She gained popularity through her Instagram @Sveamaus, for which she is celebrated as the “Meme Queen.” Mausolf grew up in Frankfurt (Oder), dropped out of an art program in Essen, and now lives in Cologne. On Instagram, she creates images with text that touch people’s hearts with their tragicomic poetry, triggering all the wounds of the human soul at once. With her debut novel "Image", she won the 2026 Pop Literature Prize from the Literaturhaus Augsburg.
