With Autistic Disco, artist Lars Eidinger published his first photo book in 2020 with Hatje Cantz Verlag. For his photographs, Eidinger roams the world like a flâneur and observes. In doing so, he sees what others do not see because they have forgotten to look closely: Loners removed from society, morbid consumer kitsch, trompe-l'œils. He captures moments that document our current events and paradoxically lead them ad absurdum.
Lars Eidinger (*1976, Berlin) is one of Germany’s best-known actors. Berliners can experience him close-up as a member of the Schaubühne’s ensemble, while an international audience will know him from his fi lm performances. Autistic Disco is the title of both his photographic work and his DJ set.
