Digital + Analog = Dialog
Where do we draw the line between analog and digital technologies in photography? Can digital photography also make use of the darkroom? In this workshop, we aim to explore a key question: how can you find something you didn’t set out to discover?
In this workshop, artist Peter Miller offers insights into his artistic practice and his current exhibition at C/O Berlin, Dear Photography. Above all, he encourages participants to push the boundaries of photography and consciously break down the artificial division between the digital and the analog. As is typical of artistic practice, searching for creative solutions means treading an adventurous path between questions of content and technical restrictions. Photography allows us to work with the intersections between analog and digital image practices.
Over the course of two weekends, participants are invited to engage in unconventional approaches to photography to develop and carry out their own artistic projects. A visit to the current exhibition with the artist and use of the C/O Berlin Education Unit’s darkroom are key elements in this photography workshop.
