You build animation characters from plasticine, paper, or wire. You make up crazy stories. You create magic transformations and manic chases. During the Animation Summer School, the rooms of C/O Berlin Education turn into an animation workshop for two weeks, with fun, excitement, and miniature film sets. Every day starts with a presentation of new tricks or techniques and there is always inspiration and assistance for your own animated scenes. You can join for a few days and try your hand at different animation styles, or stay longer and immerse yourself in the world of moving pictures!
Jan Caspers has been running workshops at schools for 20 years and came to animated film via puppetry, silhouette cutting and robot theatre.
Gary Rosborough has been working full-time as an animation teacher for almost 20 years. He has inspired children, young people and adults on four continents with the wonderful world of animation.
Polly Härle works as an illustrator. She studies visual communication at the Weißensee Academy of Art in Berlin and works a lot with animation film technology.
