Even in the early days of photography, the discussion about truth and falsification, about documentation and interpretation was already underway. One of the most frequent motifs of photography is architecture. This subject can be used to illustrate these terms in a very striking way. Architectural photography has always played a major role inthe development of the history and theory of the photographic medium. C/O Berlin presents seven photographic positions taken by contemporary artists who are concerned with architecture and built space and who work in the area of conflict between these disciplines. Their works are being combined for the first time for C/O Berlin’s exhibition spaces. They are Frank Breuer, Johannes Schwartz, Edgar Lissel, Ricarda Roggan, Oliver Boberg, Heidi Specker and Florian Balze.
