The final curtain falls! From everyday life we know the feeling of wearing a certain mask. Under the theme of Queerness, we discussing the question of who am I and who do I want to be. It is about approaching one's own self-image. We will use staged photography and stage people in a photo studio in the style of a classical portrait. We will also use costumes and accessories to give our ideas a personal expression.
Hanna Mattes studied linguistics at the FU Berlin and photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Since then she has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany and abroad. Since 2016, she has been represented by the Belmacz Gallery in London. In 2017 she published her first photographic monograph in collaboration with Deutscher Kunstverlag.
Nick Grossmann is a photographer with a focus on analog street photography. After studying art and photography in Enschede and Vancouver, he works, among other things, as a coordinator and supervisor of various photography groups (including an initiative for people with mental illness) and regularly gives workshops for young people and adults.
