In Bambi, Sébastien Lifshitz tells the story of Marie-Pierre Pruvot, who never accepted that she assigned male at birth and instead lead her life according to her own ideals, first as a cabaret star and later as a teacher. Bambi was awarded the Teddy Award for the best documentary at the Berlinale. It is an important document of queer identity – and most of all, great cinema.
